Children are divided into age-appropriate groups. Each day their
group rotates through classes in Art, Drama, Music and Dance. Each imagine That! camp ends with an exciting extravaganza
musical performance for family and friends. |
The teachers of all three camps take a fabulous retreat together
in May and design the story of the show for that year. The teachers take into account what each age group’s needs
are and what their specific art form could best accomplish. Every camp shares the same skeletal story outline though
the three shows bear little resemblance to each other because of the different teachers and the different children |

Once the children have heard the story outline they are off. They
choose their own characters and script themselves, make their own costumes, props and scenery, write songs and
choreograph dances. Though the classes are initially very separate, children divided by age and teachers in different
rooms; by the end of the camp all our efforts are a collaboration and we are all equally responsible for creating
the production. |
Other exciting aspects of imagine that that have become annual
rituals are; the Talent show on the first Friday of the camp, the Weird food potluck that accompanies the final
performance. Capture the Flag on the first day of full rehearsal and a napping nest for children who need quiet
time during the day. |

The pyramids
hold secrets, some are discovered and some are not.
Suffice it to say a plot is unfolding at ImagineThat! This summer that involves mummies, scarab bugs, rock bands and a long lost royal line. Yup, it's another colorful year at Imagine That! |
